We’ve realised that while lots of people love the idea of receiving beautiful post, some are still wondering what a mail club actually is.
Is it a magazine subscription? Is it a craft kit? Is everything sent digitally? Do you need to be good at scrapbooking?
The simple answer is this: the Libby & Alice Mail Club is a monthly envelope of beautiful, creative post delivered to your door.
It isn’t a box of complicated craft supplies, and you don’t need any special skills to enjoy it. It is a small monthly treat designed to help you step away from your screen, discover beautiful botanical art and enjoy making—or simply keeping—something lovely.
Here’s exactly how it works.
Step 1: Choose your membership
You join the Libby & Alice Mail Club through our website and enter the postal address where you would like your envelope delivered.
You can join for yourself or send the membership as a thoughtful gift to someone who loves flowers, art, journalling, scrapbooking or traditional post.
Once you have joined, you are on the list to receive a new floral envelope each month.
Step 2: We choose a new botanical theme
Every month is different.
We choose a botanical artist, flower or collection to inspire that month’s envelope. Our first edition celebrated the beautiful roses of Pierre-Joseph Redouté. Month Two takes us into the world of wildflowers.
We research the artist and the story behind the artwork, then create a collection around the theme.
This means you are not receiving the same stationery every month. Each envelope is a new little chapter filled with different flowers, colours, stories and creative possibilities.
Step 3: We create the envelope
Alice and I put together each monthly edition with a mixture of botanical artwork, paper pieces, creative inspiration and a letter from us.
The exact contents change according to the theme, but your envelope may include:

Everything is flat and paper-based, so it can travel through the ordinary post rather than arriving as a large parcel.

Step 4: Your envelope is posted
The monthly envelopes are prepared and posted during the first week of the month.
They are sent through the regular postal system, so delivery times will depend on where you live. International post can take a little longer, but that is also part of the pleasure—knowing that something lovely is making its way towards your letterbox.
There is no app to download and nothing that you need to print yourself. This is real, physical post delivered to your door.
Step 5: Open it slowly
When your envelope arrives, you can enjoy it in whatever way feels right.
Make a cup of tea. Put your phone down. Read the letter and look through the artwork before deciding what you would like to do with it.
There is no deadline and no correct way to use the contents.
You might spend an afternoon creating with everything immediately, or you might save the envelope for a quiet weekend.
Step 6: Make, journal, display—or simply keep it
You do not have to be an experienced scrapbooker or artist to join the Mail Club.
You could:

You can cut the artwork, layer it, write on it or leave it exactly as it arrived.
Some members may create detailed scrapbook pages. Others may place a favourite flower illustration on their desk or tuck the whole envelope into a keepsake box.
Both are equally valid.
Is it a craft kit?
Not quite.
A traditional craft kit usually gives you materials and instructions for making one specific item. The Libby & Alice Mail Club is more open-ended.
We give you beautiful paper, artwork and inspiration, but you decide what happens next. There are no complicated instructions and no pressure to produce a finished project.
It is designed to encourage creativity, not create another task for your to-do list.
Is it only for scrapbookers?
Definitely not.
The Mail Club is for anyone who loves flowers, beautiful paper, botanical art, letters and the feeling of receiving something personal in the post.
It may be especially lovely for people who want to be creative but don’t always know where to begin. A blank journal page can feel intimidating; an envelope filled with colours, images and prompts gives you an easy starting point.
It is also for people who simply miss real post.
