In a world of instant messages, endless notifications, and overflowing inboxes, there is something quietly revolutionary about receiving a letter.
Not a bill. Not a piece of advertising. A real letter.
The kind you open slowly. The kind you put the kettle on for. The kind that makes you pause for a few moments and appreciate something beautiful.
Libby & Alice began with a friendship and a shared love of flowers. Despite living on opposite sides of the Atlantic, we found ourselves constantly exchanging photographs of roses, botanical illustrations, garden discoveries, books, and snippets of inspiration from our daily lives. We realised that these small moments of beauty mattered more than we had expected.
They made ordinary days feel a little brighter.
Over time, an idea began to take shape. If we found so much joy in sharing flowers, art, and thoughtful correspondence with one another, perhaps there were others who would too.
The result is the Libby & Alice Mail Club — a monthly celebration of flowers, botanical art, friendship, and beautiful post.
Each mailing is inspired by the things we genuinely love: old rose gardens, vintage botanical illustrations, wildflowers growing along country paths, artists who captured nature's beauty, and the simple pleasure of finding something unexpected in your letterbox.
Our hope is that each envelope feels a little like receiving a letter from friends. A small invitation to slow down, step away from the screen, and spend a few moments enjoying something created with care.
There is no grand mission behind Libby & Alice. We simply believe that beauty matters. Flowers matter. Thoughtfulness matters. And in a world that often feels rushed, there is still room for quiet pleasures.
Thank you for joining us at the beginning of this adventure.
We look forward to sharing it with you.
Libby & Alice
